Heartland is fortunate to have a transitional residential facility that is off-site of the main campus. This program adds another element to our continuum of care.
Heartland West Transitional Residential Program
Heartland West provides female residents with an opportunity to explore and effectively implement the skills learned in our more intensive therapy environments. Heartland West’s therapeutic approach is through the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) model and is effective in creating a milieu of self control and accountability.
Residents of Heartland West experience continued therapy in a less restrictive, community-based setting. Residents focus on the development of independent living skills to include consistent community integration, cooking, self care, public school attendance and vocational training.
